Malik Riaz Hussain, the real estate tycoon, late Monday night arrived here at the Benazir Bhutto Inter-national Airport by his special plane. Malik Riaz, who was under treatment in the UK, on his return avoided a detailed media intercation and only restricted himself to a brief press talk with the journalists, stating that he would appear before the apex court tomorrow morning and record his statement.
"Since the court has forbidden me from talking to media, I would only tell you that I would record my statement in the court," he added. Flanked by security guards, Malik Riaz came out of the airport and later left for his residence. Earlier, Zahid Hussain Bokhari, counsel of Malik Riaz made it clear that his client (Malik Riaz) will arrive Pakistan with solid evidences against Arslan Iftikhar by "all means" and would appear before the court for recording his statement.
Zahid Bokhari said this while talking to mediamen here on Monday before hearing of the case of Dr Arslan Iftikhar, son of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry who is facing suo motu case in the Supreme Court for allegedly taking millions from Malik Riaz of Bahria Town. "My client cannot be pressurised through applications for registration of cases and he (Malik Riaz) is ready to face it even if ten cases are registered against him", Zahid Bokhari said.
When asked about the importance of the case he said, "My client is very much aware about the significance as well as consequences of the case." To a question about arrival of Malik Riaz, he said, "I assure you that he will come and beyond this nothing can be said at this stage."
