Lahore Flood Warning Centre is starting its services from Friday (today), where officers from all provincial departments will perform duties and provide complete information about the situation of water flow and flood to the people round the clock.
Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Mujahid Sherdil said on Thursday that all arrangements had been made to repair/maintain river banks and barrages throughout the province. He said that all the concerned departments, officers and officials had been directed to keep alert to cope with any emergency situation.
He added that all measures had been finalised to cope with expected flood and to implement flood plan, whereas, comprehensive stock of food and other necessary items had been provided to all the districts so that they could utilise it in any emergency situation.
