The Institute of Business Management (IoBM), having won CIMA Global Business Challenge final 2012 from amongst top five teams of Pakistan for the third year running, has qualified for the Global Final Round to be held in Sri Lanka in July. The winning team members of IoBM include Yusuf Jamil Siddiqui, Hina Rehman, Subia Shamim Shaikh and Ayena Maqbool.
The mentors of the triumphant IoBM team are H Jamal Zubairi and Shazia Farooq. IoBM achieved this feat against 167 participating teams from all over Pakistan. The team is confident to perform even better internationally in the Global Final against teams from 22 countries and win the title for Pakistan, an IoBM statement said. Meanwhile, Syed Rehan Ahmed of IoBM has been included in the 'Top 99 Business Administration and Management Students of the world' following a keenly contested international competition for students of business institutions organised by Nyenrode University, The Netherlands.
Nyenrode University, rated among top management universities of Europe, held a global competition and assessment to rank the top Business Administration and Management students of the world. Assessment test comprised complex series of business related questions, personal essay and different topics pertaining to economics and international business. There were more than a million applicants out of which 219 applicants were shortlisted. and 99 students were named amongst world's top business administration and management students. Syed Rehan Ahmed scored 71 Marks out of 80 and was among top 99 Business Administration and Management Students of the world.
Among other business contests at the national and international levels IoBM students have earned laurels for Pakistan by excellent performances at P&G Business Launch Challenge 2010 - 2011; Lipton Talent Hunt, Competition, 2010; Global Investment Research Challenge, 2010; Brands' Anatomy contest 2010; Symmetry Digital Minds, 2010; LUMS International Marketing Colloquium, 2011; Young Leaders Entrepreneurs Summit (YLES), 2011; I-MARC, 2011 and CFA contest, 2012.
