Soy prices fell to between 1,470 and 1,480 pesos ($327/$329) per tonne, pulled lower for a third straight day by losses in the benchmark Chicago futures market. Thursday's reference price was 1,495 pesos. Nearby soybean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell for a third day by the close of pit trading as traders liquidated long positions to guard against adverse market reaction to the weekend election in Greece.
In Rosario, soy for delivery in May 2013, closed at $288 per tonne compared with $290 per tonne on Thursday. In the southern grains port of Bahia Blanca, the oilseed traded stable at 1,460 pesos per tonne.
