Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, has said that present government is spending greater resources on education sector particularly women education. He said that terror mindset can be defeated through promotion of education. He was talking to Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan Lars-HjAlmar Wide.
Matter pertaining to bilateral relations, situation in the region, progress on project in collaboration with Sweden and other issues of mutual interests came under discussion on the occasion. Hoti said government's special initiatives for eradication of poverty, unemployment and literacy are bearing positive results. Contrary to situation in 2008, today there is no any no-go areas or parallel government in the province, he added.
The chief minister said that people of the province have bravely and courageously faced terrorism and natural calamities during the near past, due to which today situation in the province regarding law and order and reconstruct of infrastructure is far more better. He lauded support and assistance of foreign friends in this connection.
He termed peace and stability in Afghanistan, FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as inter-linked. The CM apprised the ambassador of his government's special initiatives that include self-employment scheme, Hunarmand Rozgar scheme, Riwayti Hunarmand Rozgar Scheme and programme of encouragement of intelligent students. He said 30 percent quota has been revered from women in employment schemes.
He said financial package has been implemented for motivating parents to send their girls to schools in relatively backward Kohistan and TorGar districts. He said that some serious work on establishment of oil and Gas Company of the province along in collaboration with private sector for benefiting from oil and gas resources in southern districts has been done.
