Three boys who were kidnapped from Latifabad area on Saturday night returned home here Sunday after the Motorway Police reportedly foiled the kidnapping bid and helped the police in arresting the kidnappers.
According to the details, Zahid Ali Rana (14), Fida Hussain (14) and Mehar Elahi (15) left home in a car on Saturday night to bring petrol for the power generator. But they were kidnapped along with their vehicle by four persons who had come in a car.
According to the Patrolling Officer Abdul Qadir Lakho, they tried to stop an over-speeding car on the Indus Highway in the limits of Shaheed Benazirabad district. The police finally managed to stop the car near Mir Khan Bus stop in Sakrand taluka, he added.
However, it took the motorway and Sakrand police another few hours to arrest the three suspects who had hidden themselves in the agricultural fields. The suspects were identified as Ayaz Mallah, Khalid Jamali and Waseem Bhand.
