Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Thursday extended a financial assistance of Rs 0.1 million for Al-Khidmat Orphan Care Programme, asked the organisation to work with spirit of greater well being of orphan children in the province. A delegation of Al-Khidmat Foundation, Pakistan led by its provincial president Inayatullah held a meeting with SCCI president Afan Aziz here at the chamber.
On the occasion SCCI vice president, Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, Abid Salam, and members of executive body were present. Afan Aziz, while appreciating the initiative of Al-Khidmat Foundation for orphan children, said that the organisation has also playing importance role in provision of better health and education facilities as well. He said that our religious preach us to extend maximum support to helpless and needy people, especially orphan children.
Afan Aziz handed over a cheque of Rs 0.1 million to provincial president Al-Khidmat Foundation, Inayatullah for orphans care programme. While extending gratitude to SCCI, Inayatullah informed that the organisation will support orphan children hailing from Azad Jammu Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Federally Administrative Tribal Areas (Fata) under the programme.
He further added that Al-Khidmat Aaghosh Centre was established at district Attock, wherein more than 210 orphan children were provided better education and other facilities. He said the organisation would provide financial assistance to more than 1,500 orphan children in Peshawar and around 500 in Fata. The SCCI, Vice President Ziaul Haq Sarhadi also spoke on the occasion.
