Federal Minister for Communications Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil distributes cheques amounting to Rs 300 million amongst the 298 landowners whose land had been purchased for Peshawar Northern Bypass.
Addressing a gathering held in this connection in the Hujra of former Nazim Malak Saeed Khan, Federal Minister for Communications Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil said that Peshawar Northern Bypass was a great project not only for Peshawar but for the whole of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that will cost two billion rupees.
The construction of Phase-I of this project that spans from GT Road to Charsadda Road is in the final stage and this phase will be inaugurated next month and tenders for phase-II and phase-III have already been floated. He said half of the amount ie Rs 300 million of the lands of this project accruing to the NHA had been distributed on Thursday and the rest of 300 million would be distributed in the next financial year.
Arbab Alamgir further said "we have created history by launching mega projects like Peshawar Northern Bypass, Lowari Tunnel, Khushalgarh Bridge and others in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On this occasion, Provincial Minister for Irrigation Ahmad Hussein Shah, Member Construction NHA Yousuf Ali Khan, GM KP Region Fazle Nawab Khattak, Project Director PNBP Wazir Zada, former Nazim Pakha Ghulam Malik Mohammad Saeed Khan, PPP leaders Mohammad Shareef Khan, the owners of the land and dignitaries of the area participated in a large number in the ceremony.
