Indus Pharma Pakistan would sponsor Tennis star Yasir Khan for training and participation in various tournaments in Spain and would made all possible measures to promote tennis and young Pakistani players. Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Tuesday, Indus Pharma Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zahid Saeed said that they are striving hard to pull out youth from desperation, besides presenting the positive face of Pakistani youth before international community.
He said that besides cricket, support of other sports and players is also crucial for bring Pakistan among prominent countries in sports sector, said adding that tennis players should also be supported and Indus Pharma is initiating in this regard. He said that the co-operation would be continued in future.
To a question he said that Yasir Khan would participate in two months' training session in Spain and then play various tournaments that would not only strengthen his skills but also support him in his international ranking and promotion. He further said that the Indus Pharma would bear all of his expenses.
On the occasion, he announced to appoint Yasir Khan as brand ambassador of Indus Pharma and hoped that Khan would promote Tennis and the name of the country across the globe.
Yasir Khan thanked the Indus Pharma for bestowing him with the honour of brand ambassador and supporting him. He was of the view that support of such companies would play an important role in promotion of game as well as the name of the country. He further said that he was ranked second among Tennis players among Pakistan but remained deprived of due status due to lack of support and opportunities. He hoped that with the co-operation of Indus Pharma, he would manage to increase grace of the country.
