Sindh reports 1,949 new coronavirus cases

  • Sindh CM said 696 patients are in critical condition while 116 are on ventilators.

Sindh reported on Saturday 1,949 new coronavirus cases, taking the provincial tally to 78,267.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that 38 more people died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Sindh's death toll has climbed to 1,243.

The chief minister said that 696 patients are in critical condition while 116 are on ventilators. While speaking about the recoveries, Shah said in the last 24 hours, 1,452 patients recovered from the virus.

Number of nationwide cases by end of June to be less than 300,000: Umar

Pakistan's coronavirus tally stands at 200,832 with 72,880 cases in Punjab, 78,267 in Sindh, 24,943 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 10,116 in Balochistan.

Similarly, 1,4176 case are reported from Gilgit-Baltistan, 12,206 from Islamabad and 1,003 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
