SSC (Part II), 2020: Punjab Higher Education Department to start process of making answer books
LAHORE: Punjab Higher Education Department has announced to start process of making of answer books of Secondary School Certificate (Part II), 2020 from Monday in all the nine boards of Punjab subject to the strict adoption of following Standard Operating Procedures duly approved by Technical Working Group of Primary and Secondary Health Care Department to prevent Covid-19.
According to the copy of minutes of the meeting available with Business Recorder the process of making will start in Lahore, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawlpur, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and DG Khan.
According to the detail all the chairpersons of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Educations of the province will furnish a certificate regarding adoption of all the SOPs in the designated marking centres, before commencement of marking of answer books. The chairpersons will also provide list of designated marking centres to the department. Examiners selected for the central marking should be preferably below the age of 50 years and should not be having any chronic disease.
A pictorial evidence of marking centres shall be up loaded daily on the website of HED. Weekly reports shall be submitted to Higher Education Department by all the chairpersons through email. All the Resident Inspectors shall be apprised of the sensitivity of the issue. The chairpersons shall personally supervise and visit the centres regularly.
The following facilities shall be provided by the management concerned in the marking centres which includes water dispenser with disposable glasses, display of a panaflex banners for awareness at the prominent places in the centres. Disinfection of the centres (doors, almirahs, furniture etc) with disinfectant material regularly.
Check up of all the staff with thermal guns, cross ventilation of the centres and halls while bathrooms should be kept cleaned and the sanitary staff must be present there during marking hours and santizers should be provided to the staff.
Finally, there shall be no compromise on the security of answer books and adoption of SOP's by the concerned management. Any breach of the SOPs will invite strict disciplinary action by the department and the zero tolerance in this regard shall be observed.
A letter had been sent CCPO Lahore and Regional Police officers of Multan, DG Khan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala , Sahiwal and Bahawlpur regarding security of designated marking centres, in the concerned boards.
