Govt has added 1,825 oxygenated beds to hospitals across Pakistan: Asad Umar
- The government had decided to add 2000 beds across Pakistan.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar announced on Wednesday that as per the government’s plan, 1,825 oxygenated beds have been added in hospitals across Pakistan.
In a tweet today, the minister said in June, the government had decided to increase the number of oxygenated beds in hospitals across the country to 2,000.
So far, Umar continued, the government has added beds in hospitals across Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Oxygenated beds have also been added to hospitals in Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, Umar added.
550 beds have been added in Islamabad, 480 in Punjab, 390 in KP, 150 in Balochistan,125 in Sindh. Similarly, 90 in Azad and 40 bed have been added so far, he added.
