ISLAMABAD: Auto thieves and armed robbers stole vehicles and looted valuables worth millions of rupees in separate strikes in the capital city during the last week. According to data gathered by Business Recorder, five cases of carjacking, four cases of robberies, and one case of murder were reported to different police stations of the city during the last week.
Criminal activities were reported from areas falling in the limits of Lohi Bher, Industrial Area and Noon police stations. During the last week, Lohi Bher Police Station registered two cases each of robbery. Waheedur Rehman informed Lohi Bher Police Station that unidentified robbers stole cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables from his house worth Rs600,000.
Meanwhile, Hassan informed Lohi Bher Police Station that unidentified robbers stole prize bonds, and gold ornaments worth Rs225,000 from his house. In the same period, Industrial Area Police Station registered one case of auto theft and one case of murder.
Auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number FG-241 belonging to Muhammad Ishaq worth Rs800,000. Meanwhile, Jan Muhammad registered a complaint with the Industrial Area Police Station that three unidentified persons killed his son, Abdul Jan.
Motor vehicle thieves lifted a car bearing registration number CE-567 belonging to Muhammad Asif worth Rs2,500,000 from the limits of Golra Police Station. Another vehicle bearing registration number AFB-069 belonging to Muhammad Iqbal worth Rs1,800,000 was stolen from the limits of Karachi Company Police Station.
Attal Ali lodged a complaint with Noon Police Station that the accused, Adeel and other two unidentified persons stormed his office and beaten him up and stole cash and valuable documents. Yasir Khan lodged a complaint with Sabzi Mandi Police Station that unidentified robbers stole his buffalo worth Rs200,000.
