Sugar shortage, sale of substandard meat: district administration takes action

The district administration on Sunday moved to take action against complaints of shortage of sugar and the sale of unhygienic meat and poultry in Gulshan Ravi Sunday Bazaar. The Gulshan Ravi administration was instructed by DCO Lahore Noorul Amin Mengal to submit a report in this regard.
The sale of unhygienic meat and chicken was immediately stopped in the Sunday Bazars and steps were also taken to stop the sale of substandard foodstuff. The administration also ensured the availability of sugar in the market.
Meanwhile, the DCO Lahore also ordered the administrations of Sunday Bazars to take steps to reduce the prices of fruits, vegetables and meat. He also urged the authorities to strictly monitor the price situation.
