KARACHI: On Monday, Pakistan Rupee exhibited mixed behaviour on market close. It lost value against USD in interbank and open markets while gaining value in open market against Euro.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 50 paisas for buying and 60 paisas for selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 168.30 and 168.50 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 60 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 168.60 and 169 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR gained one rupee for buying and 1.5 rupees for selling over last Friday's rates closing at 197 and 198 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR lost 10 paisas for buying while remaining unchanged for selling closing at 45.60 and 45.70 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR lost 10 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 44.40 and 44.60 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee recovered its earlier losses versus the American dollar and the British pound in the open currency market on Monday.
Following a slight decrease in buyers' interest, the dollar remained under selling pressure throughout the trading session and ended lower for buying and selling at Rs 168.20 and Rs 169.20 against the previous closing trend of Rs 168.30 and Rs 169.50 respectively, local currency dealers said.
Similarly, the national currency also followed suit in relation to the pound sterling that was bought and sold at Rs 218.00 and Rs 219.50 against the last week's closing rates of Rs 218.70 and Rs 220.50 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 20 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Monday.
The dollar opened at Rs168.70 (buying) and Rs 168.80 (selling) against last rate of Rs168.50 (buying) and Rs 168.60 (selling).
It closed at Rs168.70 (buying) and Rs 168.80 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold increased to Rs128,200 (selling) and Rs128,000 (selling) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
