KARACHI: On Thursday, after market close, Pakistan Rupee recorded a fall against USD in both interbank and open markets while recording a gain against Euro in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 5 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 168.30 and 168.40 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 10 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 168.30 and 168.60 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR gained one rupee for both buying and selling closing at 198.50 and 199.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for buying while losing 5 paisas for selling closing at 45.60 and 45.90 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR maintained its level and recorded no change closing at 44.45 and 44.60 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee depreciated its worth against the greenback in the local currency market on Thursday.
According to currency dealers, the short supply phenomenon of the greenback prevailed throughout the trading session which helped its appreciation for buying and selling at Rs 168.25 and Rs 169.30 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 168.00 and Rs 169.20 respectively.
On the contrary, the rupee showed strength as it recovered its day earlier losses versus the pound sterling. As a result, the pound's buying and selling rates declined from Wednesday's closing trend of Rs 221.00 and Rs 222.70 to Rs 219.50 and Rs 221.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee gained 20 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Thursday.
The dollar opened at Rs 168.60 (buying) and Rs 168.70(selling) against last rate of Rs 168.80(buying) and Rs 168.90(selling).
It closed at Rs 168.6(buying) and Rs 168.70(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 122,700(selling) and Rs122,500(buying) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
