LAHORE: The meeting of Ittehad Bain-ul-Muslimeen Committee, which held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, has supported and appreciated the decision of the government of Pakistan about not recognising Israel.

The participants observe that situation requires religious communities and scholars to continue playing their role for maintaining sectarian harmony, national unity and maintenance of law & order in the society.

The Ulema and religious scholars of different schools of thought will adopt a positive and moderate attitude in their sermons to avoid any sectarian conflict. The Ulema of all schools of thought agreed on the point that no Muslim should be hurt and they will strictly follow the policy of non-interference in the religious believes of the others.

The services of Pakistan Army, Punjab police and other security agencies are praiseworthy for dealing with terrorism and we pay tributes to their bravery and valour, they said. Addressing the participants, the CM stated that a foolproof security plan has been devised for Muharram-ul-Haram and the Punjab government will ensure complete implementation of this plan for the protection of religious congregations and processions.

He said that administration and security agencies will maintain close coordination with each other and senior police and administrative officers will personally monitor all the processions. Similarly, the law banning weapons, loudspeakers, wall-chalking and airing and publication of sectarian material will be strictly implemented. The situation requires unusual steps and we have to foil the conspiracies of the enemy, he added.
