KARACHI: A high-level meeting on the situation in Karachi was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday.
The meeting was attended by Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Corps Commander Karachi.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of both the provincial and federal governments. They included Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, DG ISI Lt Gen Faiz Hameed and Corps Commander Karachi Lt Gen Humayun Aziz. Federal Ministers Shibli Faraz, Asad Umar, Syed Ali Zaidi, Amin ul Haq, Provincial Ministers Saeed Ghani, Nasir Shah and other senior officials also attended the meeting. The PM was given a detailed briefing on the Karachi Transformation Plan and he assured of all possible assistance from the federal government in addressing the widespread loss due to recent rains in the city.
