ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Senator Shibli Faraz on Saturday said that people of Karachi cannot be left at mercy of Sindh government that has destroyed infrastructure of Quaid's city during their 12-year long rule.

Shibli Faraz, in a tweet Saturday, said that Karachi is backbone of Pakistan's economy and issues of port city are issues of Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to restore the real identity of Karachi as an industrial city. Meanwhile, in a separate tweet, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Shahbaz Gill Saturday said today is a big day for Karachi when a new era will begin. Shahbaz Gill in his tweet wrote that PM Imran Khan will announce to return Karachi its beauty, lights and grace.

The premier is going to free the metropolis from the mafia which was behind dirty water, garbage, land occupation mafia and worst transport system, he said.
