LAHORE Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof Dr Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar has said that the facility of Corona Tests is being available for the patients in LGH. He said that corona tests are being conducting free of cost according to the government's policy.
He expressed these views while paying surprise visit to the Central Research Lab of Lahore General Hospital and inspected various departments there. Dr. Ghazala Ruby, Director Research Lab, briefed Prof. Al-freed Zafar that corona tests have been performed on 850 persons from 1st to 5th September, this month. Principal directed that tests of surgery patients should be done on a priority basis so that they do not face any difficulty.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal PGMI Prof. Al-freed Zafar said that it is the responsibility of AMS, DMS and Nursing Administration to ensure the best possible treatment and care of the patients in all cases. They should make monitoring more effective so that patients and their families do not face any difficulty, Prof. Al-freed Zafar added.
He urged the administration and doctors to make the cleanliness system in the hospital more efficient and to spray on a daily basis to prevent dengue virus so as to ensure elimination of dengue virus along with corona. Prof. Al-freed Zafar said that on the orders of the Punjab Government, better medical facilities are being provided to all the patients coming to the hospital and all resources are being utilized for this purpose.
He clarified that despite all these measures, if any irregularity is found in any block, the administrative doctor of that block will be responsible and strict action will be taken against the concerned officials.
