These are the top export destinations of Pakistan

  • Pakistan exports to US during July-August of the ongoing fiscal witnessed a fall of 6pc, from $714.63mn of exports in the corresponding months in 2019 to $671.75mn in the ongoing period.

Pakistan’s exports for the month of August stood at $1.526 billion, with the United States emerging as the biggest exports partner with $334.54 million in the period.

As per the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the exports to the US declined by $7mn as compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, Pakistan exports to the US during July-August of the ongoing fiscal witnessed a fall of 6pc, from $714.63mn of exports in the corresponding months in 2019 to $671.75mn in the ongoing period.

The second top export destination for Pakistan was the United Kingdom, with exports in the month of August stood at $129.173mn as compared to $137.561mn in the same month last year, witnessing a drop of over 6pc.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s exports to Germany rose by $7mn from $104.725mn in August 2019 to $111.794 in August 2020.

Neighboring China was next on the list with exports registered in the month of August stood at $93.649 as compared to $126.345mn recorded in the same month last year, showing a drop by over $33mn.

The United Arab Emirates was the fifth top destination for Pakistan’s as the country purchased goods worth $93.219m in August as compared to $99.714m recorded in the same month of 2019, showing a decline of 6.5pc.
