KARACHI: On Tuesday, upon market closing, Pakistan Rupee went down against USD in both interbank and open markets. It also went down against Euro in open market while gaining value against SR and AED.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 5 paisas for buying and 15 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 165.90 and 166.10 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 10 paisas for buying and remained unchanged for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 166 and 166.30 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR lost 50 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 193 and 194.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR gained 5 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling reversing yesterday's gains closing at 45.05 and 45.20 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 10 paisas for buying and 5 paisas for selling closing at 43.90 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee-greenback parity stayed unchanged amid sluggish trading activity in the local currency market on Tuesday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback did not witness any change in its demand and supply situation throughout the trading session and it firmly closed at its opening trend for buying and selling at Rs 166.00 and Rs 166.90 respectively.
Moreover, the national currency gained 30 paisas against the pound sterling for buying and ended at Rs 212.20 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 212.50 whereas it stayed unchanged for selling at Rs 214.00, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee showed a recovery of 30 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.
The dollar opened at Rs166.30 (buying) and Rs166.40 (selling) against last rate of Rs166.60 (buying) and Rs166.70 (selling).
It closed at Rs166.30 (buying) and Rs166.40 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs 115,400 (selling) and Rs115,200 (buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
