ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reportedly asked party spokesmen and members to adopt an aggressive policy to expose the corrupt leaders of opposition. A meeting of the party spokesmen chaired by the prime minister on Friday, according to media reports, formulated the strategy to deal with the anti-government movement of the opposition. The prime minister was given a briefing on the government's response to the expected opposition parties' protests and rallies.
The prime minister reportedly stated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo was expecting from the people to come out on the streets for him, when his own children were living a luxurious life in the UK.
The meeting also formulated a strategy against the opposition's call for protests and rallies in the country. The prime minister directed the members from the Punjab to expose the PML-N leadership's alleged ties with India. He said he would not be blackmailed by the corrupt, and would give them a befitting response.
The Pakistan Army is standing with the democratic government, he said. The prime minister was also briefed on the steps taken by the government to bring Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan. He said that former premier Nawaz Sharif and India wanted to weaken Pakistani institutions.
