KARACHI: On Tuesday, upon market closing, PKR exhibited mixed signals. It lost value against USD in interbank market while gaining value in open market. It also went down against Euro in open market adding to mixed signals.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 5 paisas for buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 164 and 164.10 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 30 paisas for buying and selling over yesterday's rates closing at 163.90 and 164.20 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR went down by 50 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 191.50 and 193 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR gained 10 paisas for buying and selling closing at 44.50 and 44.70 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 5 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling closing at 43.35 and 43.50 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee appreciated its worth in the process of trading against the greenback in the local currency market on Tuesday.
Amid lack of buyers' interest in the market, the greenback remained under selling pressure throughout the trading session and ended lower for buying and selling at Rs 164.00 and Rs 165.20 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 164.20 and Rs 165.40 respectively, local currency dealers said.
On the other hand, the rupee depreciated its worth in relation to the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound's buying and selling rates rose from the Monday's closing trend of Rs 211.50 and Rs 213.00 to Rs 211.70 and Rs 213.20 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee gained Rs 1 against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.
The dollar opened at Rs164.50(buying) and Rs164.60(selling) against last rate of Rs165.50(buying) and Rs165.60(selling).
It closed at Rs164.50(buying) and Rs164.60(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 115,300(selling) and Rs115,100(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
