ISLAMABAD: The federal government has released Rs 270 billion (41.54 percent) including Rs 11.4 billion foreign aid for various ongoing and new development projects under the Public-Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-2021, against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 650 billion.
According to the latest PSDP data 2020-2021, released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, the government released Rs 180.88 billion (49.38 percent) including Rs 4.9 billion foreign aid for development projects of various ministries, divisions and related departments, out of Rs 366.3 billion budgeted allocation.
The government also released a total of Rs 64.46 billion including Rs 4.9 billion foreign aid disbursement out of Rs 158.3 billion for development budget of corporations; a total of Rs 53.07 billion has been released for development projects of the National Highways Authority (NHA) out of Rs 118.67 billion budgeted allocation, and Rs 11.39 billion out of Rs 39.65 billion has been released for the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC)/Pakistan Electric Power Company (Pepco).
The ministry released a total of Rs 23.84 billion out of Rs 52.4 billion budgeted allocation for development projects of special areas; Rs 12.72 billion for development projects of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) out of Rs27.4 billion, and Rs11.13 billion for Gilgit-Baltistan for financial year 2020-2021.
The government released Rs 97.37 billion out of Rs 14.51 billion for development projects of the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division, and Rs 27 million for development projects of the Narcotics Control Division against Rs 53.89 million budgeted allocation.
A total of Rs 28.22 billion out of Rs 47.8 billion have been released for development projects of the Cabinet Division, Rs 2.5 billion for the development projects of the Climate Division, Rs 32.35 billion for development projects of the Finance Division for financial year 2020-2021.
The Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms released Rs 11.75 billion for development projects of the Railways Division against Rs 24 billion budgeted allocation, Rs 2.15 billion for development projects of Science and Technology Research Division, and Rs 6 billion for the National Food Security and Research Division.
The government has released Rs 2.24 billion for development projects of the Federal Education and Professional Training Division out of Rs 4.53 billion budgeted allocation, and Rs 14 billion have been released out of Rs 29.47 billion for the development projects of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The ministry released a total of Rs 37.7 billion for the development projects of the Water Resources Division, Rs 2.7 billion for Information Technology and Telecom Division, and Rs 175 million for the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
The government has released Rs 7.38 billion for development projects of the Interior Division, Rs 770.74 million for Revenue Division, Rs 4.37 billion for Housing and Works Division, Rs 548.89 million for Aviation Division, and Rs789.57 million for Defence Production Division.
The ministry also released a total of Rs 155.46 million for development projects of Information and Broadcasting Division, Rs 464.75 million for Inter-Provincial Coordination Division, Rs 7.38 billion for Law and Justice Division, Rs 699.41 million for Maritime Affairs Division, Rs 1.33 billion for Petroleum Division, Rs 1.77 billion for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Division, and Rs 750 million for the development projects of the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) out of Rs 3 billion budgeted allocation.
