Procedural hindrances: PLGMEA chief lauds speedy response of Customs officials
KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers Exporters Association (PLGMEA), Danish Khan has said that leather products have a large share in country's exports and Customs officials helped us to remove many procedural hindrances to make the process smooth and speedy.
Leading a delegation of PLGMEA to meet Chief Collector Customs Enforcement Saifuddin Junejo and his team, he said that it's not only their duty but in a larger context it is a great service to the nation as speedy export process means more economic prosperity for the country.
During the meeting, important directives were issued to resolve problems and concerns of leather product exporters.
Danish Khan lauded the steady response of Customs team under the leadership of Chief Collector Enforcement Junejo.
Danish Khan was of view that due to the efficient officials like Junejo and his team, country's exports had increased from US 22 billion dollars to US 27 billion dollars.
He specially appreciated conception and implementation of duty drawback payments digitization and termed it remarkable.
On this occasion, Imtiaz Ahmed Shiekh, Collector MCC Exports, Eng Habib ADC MCC Exports, Rizwan Basheer ADC MCC Exports and other senior Customs official were also present. Shahid Malik, Irfan Iqbal, Rizwan Rashid, Rashid Zahid and Atiq-uz-Zaman were included in PLGMEA delegation.
