KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) signed an MoU with MUSIAD, Turkey, to facilitate trade and business opportunities between Pakistan and Turkey. The virtual signing ceremony was held through a video link. Sheikh Sultan Rehman, Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said that this MoU was the first step towards strengthening and revitalizing trade between Pakistan and Turkey.
Abdurrahman Kaan, President of MUSIAD, said in his introductory remarks that MÜSIAD EXPO attracted more and more exhibitors and a wider diversity of industries each year and continued to bolster and enhance trade. The MUSIAD EXPO 2020 is organized at the TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul.
Embracing innovation and keeping abreast of global trends, MÜSIAD EXPO receives support from across the world. MÜSIAD Expo welcomes exhibitors from numerous industries and hosts networking events, panel discussions, and B2B meetings. He said that the signing of the MoU with the FPCCI would provide unique trade opportunities for exhibitors and visitors from both the countries.
Sheikh Sultan Rehman said that he had been delighted over the signing of the MoU with MUSIAD because the global economic and trade dynamics were changing due to the emerging challenges especially after the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. He hoped that this MoU would remove the bottlenecks and barriers that were impeding "our economic and trade relations".
The holding of exhibitions, B2B meetings and exchange of trade delegations should be encouraged and would further promote bilateral trade.
