KARACHI: A dense fog is likely to hide the plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning and night hours on Tuesday, the Met Office said.

A cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country, while very cold in north Balochistan and upper parts. In the past 24 hours: Weather was cold and dry in the most parts of country, while very cold in north Balochistan, northern areas, Kashmir and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

However, rain (with snowfall over hills) occurred at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The day's lowest temperature was as low as in Gupis -11 degrees Celsius, Astore, Leh -10, Skardu -6, Parachinar and Bagrote - 5, each, Gilgit, Dir and Hunza -4, each, and Kalam -3. Astor received 5 mm of rainfall, Malam Jabba and Drosh 3 each, Mir Khani 2 mm and Kalam 1.Snow fell in Astor 2.6 inches and Malam Jabba 1.
