KARACHI: Paediatricians, otolaryngologists and general physicians under Alkhidmat orphan health care programme conducted screening of 150 children in district west Orangi camp. Overall some 1,143 registered children are registered at orphanage facility.
The children underwent medical check at the centre and were also given tips on how they can lead a healthy life. Screening of 650 children has so far been completed.
During check-up mothers and guardians of children were also present and they praised efforts of the organisation in direction of healthcare.
The children were also given advice on how to take care of their teeth, taking meals on proper time, keeping workout besides going to bed on time.
Meanwhile, Director Alkhidmat, Farooq Kamlani said that Alkhidmat facility takes healthcare of such children, along with their grooming, on modern lines and check-up of remaining children would be carried out at different medical centres.
