Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafique Malik has recommended to suspend the veterinary doctor on the provision of unhygienic meat in Township Sasta Ramazan Bazaar. He also ordered to remove the chicken stall for overcharging there. He was paying surprise visit to Shadman, Wadhat Colony, Model Town, Township Ramazan Bazaars here Sunday.
Additional Commissioner Dr Usman Assistant Commissioner Model Town, TMOs Data Gunj Bakhsh town, Samanabad town, Gulberg town and Nishtar town also accompanied him. The commissioner during his visit directed the TMO Samanabad town, Assistant Commissioner Model Town and officers of Livestock Department to make ensure the full supply of edible items, including fruit, vegetables, pulses and meat in the Sasta Ramazan Bazaar. He further directed to acquire more vehicles to improve the supply system in the Ramazan Bazaar. He directed the Agriculture Marketing Department to enhance their stall and supply of essential commodities.
The commissioner has also directed the officers to set up more stalls of essential item in the Sasta Ramazan Bazaar and big price tag be also fixed at prominent places so that the difference of prices of open market and the fixed rate of Ramazan Bazaar could be visible on these price tag. Commissioner directed the TMO Nishtar Town to set up the sugar and ata stall near the Ramazan Bazaar for easy success of the consumer. Commissioner directed all the TMOs to set up separate counter and sitting places for men and women in the Ramazan Bazaar. Commissioner also inspected first aid medical camps, toilets, provision of electricity, fans and security arrangements in the Ramazan Bazaar.
