ISLAMABAD: The government said on Sunday that the economy is moving on positive direction with all the business activities resuming despite Covid-19. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz stated this while speaking at a news conference along with Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary.

He added that the prime minister desire to protect the people as well as economy from pandemic has left positive impact on the economy All the economic indicators were moving on positive trajectory, he said that the now the economy is in the phase that there is stability and businesses are now operational.

We hope that economy and health would be reconciled against this pandemic; he said and urged the people to adopt discipline in the following of SOPs so that new wave can be managed and control, added the minister. He said that political elements have started a campaign for long march and resignation and after the defeat in first phase of protest and senate election are now creating an environment of uncertainty.

The Minister said that there is a great need for adopting precautionary to against the latest wave of corona virus and there has been upsurge of the pandemic in the Pakistan as well as across the world. He said the process of corona vaccination is in progress on merit in Punjab. He said that vaccination first phase is underway.

Minister for Science and Technology said has said that the first he would like to speak about Javed Latif statement which was painful for every Pakistan. He said that Nawaz Sharif and Altaf Hussain are gift of 1985 politics. He said that he would like to tell them to become Altaf Hussain but also remember the fate of Altaf Hussain and should not stand up against the state on losing one election.

He said that accountability and the transparency in the elections are two narratives of the government and tried its best to go for open election in the senate as per charter of democracy singed between the two parties. He said that the PPP and PML-N have budged from open election and now staging a long-march, the two parties wanted to budge from their stance that every government would complete five-year term. He said that the PPP is no longer Benazir and Bhutto’s party.

He said that Pakistan Tahree-e-nsaaf is the party of federation with representatives in the senate from all the provinces. Fawad Chaudhary also invited opposition to sit with the government for holding discussion on electoral reforms and other big issues. He said that the government is ready to hold talks with them all issues except corruption cases

He said Javed Latif statement was inappropriate which of course was has been made on the behest of some one else. Senator Shibli Faraz said the government is committed to provide relief to the masses. He said that country's exports and remittances are also increasing due to the government policies.
