As rapid development of El-Nino conditions (ie, warming of Tropical Pacific Ocean) have suppressed the monsoon over parts of South Asia leading to deficient rains over Pakistan. Met Office forecast mainly hot and humid weather in most parts of the country today (Wednesday) However, rain/thundershower may occur at scattered places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Hazara, Malakand and Peshawar divisions and Kashmir.
In its weather forecast for today, the Met office said seasonal low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending south-east wards. Isolated thundershowers are expected over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Punjab, Bahawalpur division and Southeast Sindh.
Further outlook: Mainly hot and dry weather is likely to continue in most parts of the country. However scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy falls is expected over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, North and Northeast Punjab after 48 hours
Weather last 24 hours: Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country,. Following rainfall was recorded in different parts of the country.

Rivers flows: All the major rivers are flowing below low flood level. The water inflow in river Indus at Tarbela dam is 2,03,900 cusecs, at Jinnah 2,21,600 cusecs, Chashma 2, 54,300 cusecs, Taunsa 2,06,300 cusecs, Guddu 1,56,200 cusecs, Sukkur 1,03,100 cusecs and Kotri 41,166 cusecs.
