KARACHI: Sindh Excise and Taxation (E&T) department has collected over Rs 89.48 billion revenue during the last 11 months of the current financial year as compared to the collection of Rs 74.196 billion made during the last corresponding period.
According to the details, around Rs 8496.923 million was collected under motor vehicle tax, Rs 74196.842 million as infrastructure cess, Rs 537.534 million as professional tax and Rs 96.833 million as cotton fee. While, Rs 1622.808 million was collected under property tax and Rs 36.073 million under entertainment duty.
Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Department & Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla expressed satisfaction on the overall situation of tax collection and hoped that the E&T department would achieve its annual budgetary revenue target.
