GICHIK: An Army officer was martyred when a security forces vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Gichik area of Balochistan.
According to a statement released by the military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday, the military vehicle struck the IED planted by the terrorists in the Tobo area of Gichik.
Resultantly, Captain Kashif embraced shahadat (martyrdom) while two other soldiers got injured in the terror strike.

The ISPR statement said the injured soldiers have been evacuated to a medical facility in Khuzdar.
Members of the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Boya areas of North Waziristan District after getting information about presence of the terrorists.
According to the ISPR, during the exchange of fire, one terrorist got killed. The security forces recovered weapon and ammunition from the killed terrorist.
