PIAF-Founders Alliance on Tuesday kick started its election campaign after finalising a well-tailored election strategy for the upcoming LCCI polls scheduled for September 19 and 20. At a meeting jointly headed by Chairman PIAF-Founders Alliance Mian Mohammad Ashraf and Chairman Alliance Steering Committee Mian Anjum Nisar, a number of important decisions regarding the LCCI elections were taken.
The meeting was attended by all the top leaders of the Alliance including Chairman PIAF Engineer Sohail Lashari, Saarc Chamber Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik, LCCI President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Syed Mohsin Raza Bukhari, Mohammad Ali Mian, Mian Misbahur Rehman, Sheikh Mohammad Asif, Sh Mohammad Arshad, Mian Abuzar Shad and LCCI Vice President Saeeda Nazar.
The Alliance leaders decided to inaugurate its election office at 5-A Ahmad Block, New Garden Town on August 27 while different committees were also constituted to look after the electioneering. As per the decision, the Corporate Class election campaign would jointly be run by Mian Misbahur Rehman, Mian Shafqat Ali, Farooq Iftikhar and Tahir Javaid Maik while for the Associate Class the campaign would be headed by Iftikhar Ali Malik, Engineer Sohail Lashari, Sheikh Mohammad Arshad and Zeeshan Khalil.
The PIAF-Founders Alliance has also decided to activate their respective Secretariats for seeking applications from would be candidates for Corporate and Associate Class. A two-member all-powerful Supreme Committee comprising PIAF-Founders Alliance Chairman Mian Mohammad Ashraf and Alliance Steering Committee Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar was also formed to sort out the issues arise during election campaign.
For the smooth running of the upcoming LCCI election campaign, finance and other relevant committees were also formed by the Alliance leaders and tasked them various assignments. The PIAF Founders Alliance Steering Committee members expressed their satisfaction over the performance of LCCI office-bearers and eulogised there services for the business community.
Rich tributes were also paid to Mian Mohammad Ashraf and Mian Anjum Nisar for strengthening the Alliance and making it like a family. The Steering Committee Members were of the view that the way both the leaders had run the affairs of the Alliance has no match even in the national politics.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Mohammad Ashraf and Mian Anjum Nisar said that the only objective of the Alliance is to provide an enabling atmosphere to the business community so that they could be able to cope with ongoing economic challenges. They said that an acute shortage of the electricity and political uncertainty have damaged the economy beyond repair therefore the government should facilitate the private sector in the larger interests of the country and its people.
