ISLAMABAD: The country has had 3,613 new cases of the novel coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours, and 57 deaths from Covid-19, said the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), on Monday.

With the latest update issued by the NCOC the death toll from Covid-19 rose to 26,232, while the positivity ratio was recorded at 6.32 percent with a rising trend of deadly pandemic disease.

In a statement on Twitter, the NCOC said that Covid-19 positivity ratio is the percentage of actual positive cases appearing in every 100 tests performed to identify infected individuals.

It said that the country conducted some 57,131 tests in last 24 hours in all the federating units, of which 3,613 people were tested positive. However, some 57 people died in the past 24 hours due to the contagious infection including both under treatment in hospitals and in their respective quarantines or homes.
