Forensic report reveals Sridevi died of accidental drowning
After Sridevi's sudden demise was attributed to a massive cardiac arrest, the latest forensic report has revealed that the 54-year-old's death was due to accidental drowning.
According to Dubai police, initial investigation shows that the Bollywood actress drowned in the bathtub of her hotel room. They found traces of alcohol in her body and this may have led to the accident, the police said.
“The investigation is still going on to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident as the forensic report only says that she drowned,” an official told Gulf News. The news channel also said that a caridac arrest cannot be ruled out and may have led to the accident.

Dubai police have also confirmed that the funeral of Sridevi is expected to be delayed, following forensic requests for further blood tests to confirm her cause of death. Sridevi’s last rites were expected to held at the boat club in Mumbai tomorrow.
Deaths of Sridevi and hubby Boney Kapoor’s first wife have weird similarity
While a gulf-based newspaper had originally reported that it was husband Boney Kapoor who was with her in the hotel room at the time she passed away, other media report suggest that it was the hotel staff that felt something was wrong after Sridevi didn’t open her room door even though they rang the bell multiple times.
