Modest trading was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Saturday masoor and masoor dal Canada recorded a rise of rupees 200-300 though most of the participants were on sidelines due to higher prices, dealers said.
On the cereal side moong Punjab prices were quoted at Rs 5500-6000, moong from Australia was registered at Rs 6500-6700, masoor Canada was higher by Rs 200 at Rs 5600-5800, masoor dal followed same patternand gaines Rs 300 at Rs 6800-7000, urad from Burma was at Rs 2700-3000 during thin business, they added. On the seed counter cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (old) was up by Rs 25 to 425-525, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (new) was quoted higher at Rs 950-960, other items maintained overnight levels, the said. Prices on the rice and grams sectors did not move any side due to less buying interest among buyers, they said.
