PESHAWAR: A meeting of Subcommittee of Standing Committee for Petroleum chaired by its convener, Senator Sardar Muhammad Azam Kham Musa Khel was Monday told that 1800 barrel crude oil and 3 million cubic feet gas was being produced daily from wells of Chanda Oil Fields.

The meeting held at Chanda Oil Field, Shakardarra among others was attended by Senator Baz Muhammad Khan, officials of OGDCL and area elites.

Meeting was told that 1300 barrel oil was being produced from Mela Oil Field and medicines of Rs. 40000 were being provided to area residents while 1.2 million rupees were being utilized on provision of drinking water.

Speaking on the occasion, participants expressed dissatisfaction over low gas pressure and disproportionate amount for medicines as compared to population. Meeting directed to increase the amount and provide gas to locals after resolving low pressure issues.

Committee expressed concerns over the transfer of locals by OGDCL and directed to bring them to their native stations besides construction of dispensary in Union Council Rehmanabad.

Earlier, Subcommittee of Standing Committee for Oil held meeting at Kohat and discussed matters relating to provision of water and gas to people.
