Draining rain water: Hyderabad DC directs to keep all pumping stations functional

The Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Agha Shahnawaz Babar has directed the officers concerned to keep all pumping stations functional during round-the-clock and ensure that all rain water is drained out. Presiding over a meeting of the Revenue Officers of district, the Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad also directed the Revenue Officers, Assistant Commissioners to be vigilant and supervise the performance of concerned organisations.
He said that in anticipation of further rainfall, all the necessary arrangements including provision of de-watering pumping machines, availability of diesel, generators and trained staff have been made in advance to avoid any difficulty during the rain. He expressed his satisfaction that mostly main roads, including Thandi Sarak, Shahbaz Building have been cleared from rain water within 24 hours.
