President, Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr Yahya Ale Eshaq has said that Iranian investors are keen to invest in Pakistan in many sectors including electricity and oil exploring sector. He was talking to Sheikh Abdul Waheed Sandal, Regional Chairman Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry during his visit of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry while Azhar Majeed Shaikh Vice President FPCCI, former Vice Presidents Shaikh Mahmood were also present on the occasion.
Dr Yahya Ale Eshaq, who was accompanied by 23 members of different Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Iran, said there is no doubt that Iran and Pakistan enjoy excellent relations with bonds of religion, culture, history and language. Both countries have same poets, folk stories and heroes. There would be a deep co-operation between the two countries especially in economic and trade sectors.
The President of Tehran Chamber of Commerce said, we are neighbours and can solve each other's problems easily. Iran have potential to solve Pakistan energy crises and all other financial problems, as we have laid the gas pipeline and now Iranian investors are ready to invest in electricity, livestock, mines and other sectors. Ale Ishaq appreciated the interest shown by Pakistani businessmen in trading with Iran and said that Iran also wanted to remove the trade barriers impeding bilateral trade. At the same time, he offered the co-operation of Iran's private sector in undertaking joint ventures in the petroleum and energy sectors, particularly in alternative energy resources.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Abdul Waheed Sandal, Regional Chairman FPCCI said that Pakistan has business friendly policies so offers promising investment opportunities in telecommunication, information technology, financial services, petrochemicals, livestock, dairy, consumer goods, food processing, pharmaceuticals, mineral and of course the most captivating is the energy sector.
