The people of Punjab held peaceful protest demonstrations after Friday congregations across the province against the anti-Islam film and demanded of the United Nations and the United States to punish the culprits for creating hatred among people of different regions.
In Lahore, Hafiz Saeed, Head of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa charity, held a big rally and called upon the Pakistan government to summon the American ambassador to protest over the film. "Such blasphemous acts are intentional conspiracies from the US and we will not tolerate it," he warned.
Sahibzada Razay Mustafa Naqshbandi, President Tuhafiz-e-Namoos-e-Rasalat Mahaz and Maulana Muhammd Ali Naqshbandi, President Fidayan-e-Khatam-e-Nubooat Lahore led a protest rally after Juma congregation in front of Data Darbar and warned of dangerous consequences of such sacrilegious acts on the part of Jewish terrorists They said the western powers must know that respect for Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is a matter of life and death for every Muslim where ever he lives. They said if the perpetrators will not punish and stopped from such blasphemous acts, then world peace can not be guaranteed. The conglomerate of religious parties Sunni Ittehad Council also held peaceful protest rallies in various cities of the province including Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin and condemned the sacrilegious film.
Addressing Juma congregation at Jamia Rizvia Faisalabad, Sahibzada Fazal Karim MNA called upon the United Nations and United States to take urgent notice of this anti-Islam act and take corrective measures. He said the western countries and the United States should legislative special laws to protect religious sentiments of the all the nations.
