Traders on Monday announced a Rs 50 million of bounty to kill the producer of sacrilegious film. They also announced a boycott of US products in the country. "It is the most sacrilegious attempt made against the Holy Prophet (PBUH) of Islam in the last 14 years," a trader in the old city area, Abdul Rauf said while expressing his feelings. He welcomed the announcement of a Rs 50 million bounty to kill the maker of blasphemous movie.
Talking to Business Recorder, Chairman All Karachi Tajir Ittehad (AKTI), Atiq Mir said "the traders have met in the wake of unpleasant development in the western world against Islam and decided to get the filmmaker wiped off". According to him, the "heinous" film is against the sanctity of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and a pre-planned underhand attempt of the US to create chaos in the Muslim countries. Atiq Mir said the Rs 50 million of bounty on the head of maker of blasphemous film is just to show the level of resentment against the western societies.
