Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) has launched its 9th Generation New Civic here on Tuesday and termed it "The Scent of Success". Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Yusuf H. Shirazi reiterated his confidence in Pakistan and its economic potential. He said that the group is paying Rs 19 billion on account of direction tax which is 1.15 percent of the total tax collection of the government.
He, however, also pointed out that the import of used cars is not only fleecing the customers but also retarding industrial development. The used cars import fills the pockets of a few opportunists against the long term investment made by the automobile industry. The President and CEO of the Company, Takeharu Aoki gave an overview of Honda and its attention to creating technology that is at the forefront of innovation. He spoke about the milestones attained and the hardships faced by Honda Atlas Cars.
