PESHAWAR: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KP-ITB) launched an awareness campaign for women entrepreneurs and beginners regarding soft loans, projects and future cooperation.

In this connection, a training session was organised in the FPCCI Regional Office here on Monday. Besides the Regional Coordinator, FPCCI, Sartaj Ahmad Khan, Senior Officer SBP, Abdullah Afridi, Secretary KP-ITB Mohammad Khalid, Managing Director KP-ITB and representatives of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE), and women stakeholders in various businesses attended the session.

During the session, the women entrepreneurs were briefed in detail on all aspects of the SBP Banking on Equity Awareness Session for Women led Businesses and PM Youth Loan, which could prove helpful in the expansion and success of their business.

The SBP official, Abdullah Afridi told the women entrepreneurs that a project for ensuring effective representation of women is continued under the policy of the government and the SBP has taken a lead in adopting that policy completely.

He said that now other banks are also following the footsteps of the central bank have also started hiring women employees. He explained that under the policies of the government a financial scheme has been introduced to facilitate women in the promotion of their business. Under the scheme, he said soft loans upto millions of rupees have been offered to women entrepreneurs. He urged the women entrepreneurs to take benefit of the scheme.

During the session women entrepreneurs were also provided essential information regarding stock exchange and told how can they put their share in it and take benefit of modernism in the business world.
