Loud and clear, it was displayed on Friday that no slur could be tolerated on the personality of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), who is held in high esteem by 1.5 billion Muslims across the globe, ready to lay down their lives on a single call. It was indeed a rare display of unity, people from one corner of the country to another, came out on the roads after Juma prayers, carrying banners and placards, decrying the shameful act of the creep, predator and a jerk who ventured to indulge in the shameful act of hurting the feelings of Muslims for whom it is a matter of do or die.
The day was very slow with all social, cultural and political activities suspended traffic hardly visible on the roads and business activities under lockdown. But the resentment and anger among the people was at its highest pitch. Huge crowds kept oozing from the lanes and bye-lanes to join the main processions which were taken out by religious and political parties.
The demented producer and his benefactors, people were demanding need to be guillotined to set an example so that others do not dare indulge in such vitriolic adventures. Leader of political and religious parties were largely absent from their respective rallies.
