Like in other parts of the country, a complete shutter-down strike was observed in Lahore on Friday against the blasphemous film. Business activities in all the big and small trade centers of Lahore remained suspended. All the petrol pumps and CNG stations also remained closed. Motorcycle rickshaws, auto rickshaws and taxis took full advantage of the situation as they charged double fares from the passengers in Lahore.
According to the survey conducted by Business Recorder Mall Road, Hall Road, Currency Market, Urdu Bazar, Anarkali, Akbari Mandi, Icchra, Ferozepur Road, Jail Road, Mecload Road, Badami Bagh, Bilal Gunj, Gulberg, Township, Wahdat Road, Samnabad, Mozang, Defence and Faisal Town remained closed.
