Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that poor and unemployed but talented youth were benefiting from the provincial government's programmes initiated for youth.
Speaking to a delegation of Punjab Assembly members, here on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that 20,000 tractors were being distributed under a scheme at a cost of Rs4 billion while another project for distribution of laser levellers had also been started which would benefit the cultivators.
He said that bio-gas pilot project would also become operational soon. He further said that 200 buses were being provided to different colleges in the province while 1,200 buses were being purchased for public transport.
The Chief Minister said that arrangements were being made for plying special buses for the dwellers of backward and poor areas. Punjab government's effective policy was yielding positive results, he said adding that it was easy to take tough decisions if one is sincere and immediate steps could be taken for the solution of public problems.
