The 214th Urs of Sufi poet Pir Waris Shah will start at Jandiala Sher Khan near Sheikhupura from Monday (today). People from close and far-off areas will attend the three-day celebrations of the Urs.
The Punjab government has imposed a ban on all programmes last year including the Heer recitation competition among the pilgrims. Apart from the ban on literary programmes the Punjab government has also banned gathering of more than two people in the premises of the Shrine.
