KARACHI: Senior Vice Chairman of Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association (PYMA) Sohail Nisar has said that the foreign buyers who visited the Textile Asia exhibition showed keen interest in it and appreciated the quality of Pakistani products, which is expected to have a positive impact on the industry.

He described the Textile Asia exhibition as an important event for the textile industry, which aims to focus on the immense buying/ selling potential of textile and garment machinery, clothing textiles accessories, textile raw material supplies, weaving machines, spinning machines, textile dyes chemicals, embroidery machines, power and air compressors for textile industry and textile allied services.

Sohail Nisar said that in the current situation, this exhibition has proved to be a breath of fresh air for the industries, as the ongoing serious economic crisis in the country, high dollar price, delay in clearance of imported raw materials consignments, non-opening of LCs, heavy taxes and high rates of electricity and gas, the cost of industrial production increased enormously.

However, the Textile Asia exhibition has definitely reduced the sufferings of the industrialists to some extent as foreign buyers visiting the exhibition were proving to be a new ray of hope.

Sohail also discussed the industrial problems with President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry Tariq Yousuf at PYMA’s stall in the exhibition, and requested to play the role to do its part to bring the textile industry out of crisis.

On the occasion, Saqib Goodluck, Aslam Moten, Farhan Ashrafi, Saqib Naseem, Khurram Bharara, Rizwan Diwan, Sohail Ahmed, Ziaul Arfeen, Junaid ur Rehman, Arif Lakhany, Shoaib Sharif, Asim Ejaz, Hasan Sohail, Saeed Goodluck were also present.
